We have this agaric for the first time from Comarostaphylis arbutoides leaf litter on the summit of Cerro de la Muerte in the Talamancas. The brownish gray pileus, orange, marginate lamellae, strigose stipe base with additional orange pigmentation are distinctive field characters.
