Bequest

One of the simplest ways to provide a gift to the Garden is through a bequest. When including the Garden in your will, we recommend that you consider the following language:

“I give, devise, and bequeath to The New York Botanical Garden, a private, not-for-profit, 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization, having as its principal address The New York Botanical Garden, 200th Street and Kazimiroff Boulevard, Bronx, New York 10458-5126, (percentage or specific dollar amount) for the Garden’s general purposes.”

If you already have a will, a very easy and affordable way to include the Garden as a primary or contingent beneficiary is through the addition of a one-paragraph codicil.

It is recommended that your attorney draft or revise your will
or codicil.

For more information, please contact the Office of Planned Giving at 718.817.8545 or via e-mail. There is no obligation, and all information will remain confidential.

For your convenience, the Gift Illustrator Tool computes anonymously your own life-income and tax benefit reports. The information will neither be saved nor used by the Garden and is for discussion purposes only with family and legal or financial counsel.
