Everett Children's Adventure Garden Restoration

The Everett Children’s Adventure Garden (ECAG) restoration project will provide new nature exploration and authentic science learning opportunities, ensuring that the Children’s Garden continues to provide a welcoming and engaging learning environment that meets today’s outdoor learning standards and visitor expectations.

Professional Learning for NYC Teachers: $3,500

Support science education in New York City by underwriting the opportunity for teachers to participate in multi-session institutes or customized workshops led by NYBG’s master instructors. Your gift supports supplementary and hands-on STEM education materials for use in the classroom and across NYBG’s grounds.

School of Professional Horticulture: $1,500

Foster the training of the next generation of professional horticulturists at NYBG’s School of Professional Horticulture by underwriting the plants and materials needed for 10 students’ demonstration gardening beds.

Edible Academy: $1,000

Champion NYBG’s commitment to combating food insecurity and the nutrition crisis with a gift to the Edible Academy. A state-of-the-art education facility, the Edible Academy provides hands-on activities and innovative programs that help children, families, teachers, and the public learn about gardening, nutrition awareness, and environmental stewardship. Your gift underwrites the supplies need to produce more than 20 cooking demonstrations.

Teen Explainers: $750

Help NYBG engage with future advocates of the natural world. NYBG’s Explainers Internship provides teenage students the opportunity to learn about nature and plant science in order to become environmental educators for children and families exploring the Garden. Support at this level provides 25 Explainers with STEM supplies and equipment needed to succeed.

GreenSchool: $500

Introduce New York City students to The New York Botanical Garden through field trips to the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Your gift supports program materials and science supplies for 10 Bronx-based classes.
