A mini version of the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden is set up on the lawn across from the Native Plant Garden. This child-centered space with hands-on exhibits allows kids to play with natural materials, explore themes related to NYBG’s major exhibitions, and more.

Come visit as NYBG’s Teen Explainers and their activity carts return to the Pop Up to celebrate Spring! Listen closely for birdsong while you create a pinecone birdfeeder to take home and learn about spring migration patterns—all while you explore the sights and sounds of the season.

Vincent Van Gogh is known for creating art full of emotion and energy with vibrant colors and swirling brushstrokes. Go on an art quest at the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden as you search for signs that feature Van Gogh’s landscape paintings, make observations, and create your own masterpiece to take home using stencils and a dabbing technique.
Awaken your inner artist as you craft a flower sculpture to brighten up a room at home! Think like a scientist as you investigate the concept of phototropism and how sunflowers travel with the sun. Take a stroll along our Story Trail, featuring Julie Merberg and Suzanne Bober’s picture book, In the Garden with Van Gogh. Take a bit of the Garden (and Vincent) home by potting-up a bright yellow geranium to grow at home!
