Contributions from The New York Botanical Garden was established in 1899 as a monographic series of technical papers written by Botanical Garden staff members, published in other journals, and reprinted by the Garden. This format was discontinued in 1933. Reactivated in 1983, Contributions now provides the scientific community an outlet for the publication of translations, annotated bibliographies, and classical works that are out-of-print. Flora Neotropica Monographs

Flora Neotropica volumes provide taxonomic treatments of plant groups or families growing in the Americas between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. The monographs are intended to be comprehensive, so most of them also include information on economic botany, conservation, phylogenetic relationships, taxonomic history, ecology, cytology, anatomy, and phytochemistry, among other topics. Each volume is illustrated with line drawings, black and white photographs, and distribution maps. This series is the official publication of the Organization for Flora Neotropica (OFN).
