EcoFlora Community Scientists & Partner Organizations

The EcoFlora “Hall of Fame”

Our community scientists are the backbone of the EcoFlora project! Here we recognize those who have made an outstanding contribution to the EcoFlora project and to the growing body of knowledge on the urban biodiversity of New York City by uploading observations and making identifications on the EcoFlora iNaturalist page. “Top Observers” include those who have made over 10,000 observations of plants and other organisms in NYC. “Top Identifiers” include those who have made over 10,000 identifications to the species level or higher of observations made in NYC. “Top Species Spotters” include those who have observed over 1,000 different species of plants and other organisms throughout NYC. Organizational Partners

We partner with many organizations from in and around New York City. Our perennial partners include iNaturalist, Symbiota, Bronx River Alliance, Central Park Conservancy, NYC Parks and Recreation, the City Nature Challenge, and the New York Flora Association. We are in constant collaboration with our partners to support the EcoFlora program, and engage community members in conservation of urban biodiversity.
