Member Forest Guardians
Are you passionate about nature and not afraid to get your hands dirty? Then join the Member Forest Guardians volunteer group at NYBG. The MFG are plant people committed to preserving and enhancing the beauty and biodiversity of NYBG’s forest and woodland areas. Members have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves with NYBG forest staff and get involved in a variety of rewarding activities, including weeding, trash removal, and tree planting. Each session will focus on a different section of our 250 acres.
Because the work will be off trail in natural areas, proper attire, including long pants and close-toed shoes or boots, is required. No prior experience or tools are necessary—all you need is enthusiasm and a love for nature!
Sign up for today and help us protect and preserve the natural wonders of our beloved grounds. Together, let’s make a lasting impact for generations of garden lovers to come. These volunteer opportunities are appropriate for people 17 and older.
