Curator-led Tours are a great way to learn behind-the-scenes details from horticulturists. To ensure all get a chance to participate, Members are asked to register for only one of these tours per month.

Home Gardening Center
October 10; 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
The Home Gardening Center holds diverse styles of gardens and plants that will inspire you to create an oasis in your own yard. This tour will guide you through five different spaces, highlighting garden design features, different growing conditions, and beautiful plants.

Azalea Garden Tour
October 18; 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
Get an insider’s view of this 11-acre garden with its stunning landscape design. Fall-blooming azaleas will be joined by the Rhododendron Encore series, which flower twice a year. You’ll also find a diverse assortment of flowering trees and shrubs, woodland perennials, bulbs, ferns and grasses.

Maple Collection Tour
October 24; 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
NYBG’s historic Maple Collection includes many rare and unusual maples from around the world, including cultivars of Japanese maples. This tour will center on the beauty and planting history of these distinguished and mature trees during fall foliage season.

Thain Family Forest Tour
October 29 & November 8; 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
Take in the fall foliage of the Thain Family Forest with a guided tour. Learn about the various trees, history, geology, and ecology of this original, uncut woodland. Highlights will include exploring the Forest and the Bronx River and greeting any wildlife we discover along our way.
