It’s Official: The Holidays Are Here!

Sure, we know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet (somebody better tell Ms. Turkey here to go into hiding for the next few days), but that doesn’t mean we can’t start getting festive here at The New York Botanical Garden!
Friday marks the unofficial start of the season here at the Botanical Gardens when members are invited to take a sneak peek at the amazing Holiday Train Show.
Saturday marks the first public day of the Train Show.
In addition, on Saturday, baseball great Dwight Gooden will be on hand to officially welcome the season as he lights the gorgeous conifer display in the Reflecting Pool at the Leon Levy Visitor Center. But that’s not all! Everyone at the Reflecting Pool is welcome to join the Westchester Chordsman in an old-fashioned sing-along of holiday carols from various traditions and at 3 p.m. enjoy A Season in Poetry, a celebration of the season with renowned poets Gregory Parido and Spencer Reece reading classic favorites as well as their own work.
So, get set to let the joy of the season lift your spirits! And please let us know if you have any questions.
