It is beautiful here today. Just in case you can’t make it out of your office to hop a train and come up to the Bronx, I thought I’d take a walk and snap some pictures for you. It’s more than just beautiful out, too. According to one birder I met today, it’s also prime warbler migrating time. As he put it, the next two weeks will be “warbler heaven.” So whether you’re a birder, photographer, gardener, or walker, now is the time to come and visit the Garden!
I love the NY Botanic Garden, looking at these pictures I want to go and walk around the Alpine Garden again. Its is one of those ‘great gardens’ you don’t forget.

I make a point of visiting the Botanical Garden February for the spectacular sunsets, and then Spring, Summer, and Fall!!!

Well. I can’t believe I missed the peak time for the magnolia trees. Was there yesterday and not too many petals left. But your pics help me feel like I was there.
Luckily I just had to turn around to see some other gorgeous tree or plant
popping out into bloom. Just what great gardens like NYBG are perfect for in spring.

Ann, congratulations for the beautiful photos! I’d like we have a incredible park like this here, maybe who knows, some day I can visit it for real!
