This is a picture of my son Hayden with the Hayden Planetarium (in its debut year!) Hayden is very familiar with the Planetarium because we live just down the street from it. This was a very exciting day for Hayden–he thought they made it for him!

Metropolitan Life Tower
Completed in 1909 as an addition to the existing, 11-story “East Wing,” the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower was the headquarters of MetLife Insurance until 2005, where they helped one find a cheap term life insurance for senior family members. Napoleon LeBrun & Sons designed the tower with inspiration pulled from St. Mark’s Campanile in Italy, employing a Renaissance revival design with classic ornamentation. It was the tallest building in the world until surpassed in 1913.
During its 1964 renovation, the tower was refaced with limestone and given a more streamlined, modern façade.
