We also welcomed a new family to the Family Garden.

In the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden, Ana Boži?evi? read us her beautiful poem “Rose Hopscotch”–part of the Garden’s Literary Audio Tour–on one of the hottest days of the year.
We also looked into the past and learned about the Floral Flyer, the predecessor to the Garden’s current Tram.

And finally, in August we emerged from a close call with Tropical Storm Irene with only a few scratches. If only we had known what lay ahead!
It’s not too late to help support The New York Botanical Garden in efforts like these before the year is out. Your gift contributes to the preservation, education, and cultivation of the natural world. Become a part of our 120-year history.
