Morning Eye Candy: The First Spring Day

 crocus

I wonder if the sap is stirring yet,
If wintry birds are dreaming of a mate,
If frozen snowdrops feel as yet the sun
And crocus fires are kindling one by one:
Sing, robin sing;
I still am sore in doubt concerning Spring.

The First Spring Day ~ Christina Rossetti

This poem, along with about a dozen more by Christina Rossetti, was suggested by the author of the Tumblr blog uglypants. Thank you for your suggestions and for turning me on to a new poet!
