Love is All Around

It’s cliche, but it’s true: If you can’t celebrate your love with crystallized carbon, you can always celebrate it with the fermented pit of a South American fruit. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Why chocolate of course! Too trite? Not how we do it!
For the love of your life, we’re celebrating with two fabulous evenings—Friday the 14th and Saturday the 15th—in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, and for your little loves, we’re celebrating on Saturday the 15th in the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden thanks to our Priceless friends at MasterCard.
Valentine’s Date at Tropical Paradise gives you the unique chance to luxuriate in the balmy warmth of the Conservatory, champagne in hand, while exploring the delicious world of chocolate and other plant-based aphrodisiacs. Tropical Paradise, a showcase of the Conservatory’s marvelous permanent collection, is the perfect antidote to winter. Find a warm corner to snuggle in, or stroll hand-in-hand through tropical lushness, and enjoy tasty treats along the way. It’s an exotic retreat without having to hop on a plane!
For your little ones, MasterCard Budding Masters Chocolate and Vanilla Workshop is a sweet way for kids five and older to explore the fascinating history of two of the world’s most prized (and delicious!) ingredients. Your kiddos will learn about cacao trees and seeds while sampling Mayan-inspired hot chocolate, as well as chocolate from around the world. A tour of the Conservatory will follow, where students will be able to observe living cacao trees, and create a field notebook to record their discoveries.
Tickets are available here (adults) and here (kids). So this Valentine’s Day, forget the bouquet of flowers, and give your date an entire rainforest instead!
