The Sweetgum not only adds beauty to fall’s landscape – its fruit (gum or sticker balls) are laden with seeds attracting Purple Finch, House Finch, and American Goldfinch. In past years, Pine Siskin and Crossbills also fed from the forest’s Sweet Gums.
