If this was our pond here in the interior of BC, (Canada)we would be very concerned as this image would mean that this invasive turtle had outcompeted and then extirpated our native painted turtles.. Cute viewing but not in keeping with the natural ecosystems although perhaps the red eared slider is your indigenous turtle . Where is the continent was this photo taken?
