When the Garden is at the height of its wintertime beauty, the grounds are best enjoyed with poetry and music. This Sunday, December 7, the Winter Harmonies Concert Series begins with a special performance by the Cassatt String Quartet entitled “American Journey.” These talented artists were recently interviewed alongside the series curator and composer Laura Kaminsky for Living Arts in Westchester. Watch the video and hear the inspiration behind this special travel-themed performance that will coincide with NYBG’s Holiday Train Show®.
Laura Kaminsky will moderate post-performance conversations with the artists after each performance in Ross Hall, so audience members for this Sunday’s special performance will be able to hear directly from these acclaimed musicians. This unique interaction of folk and classical music is not to be missed!
Laura Kaminsky then returns December 21 with another leading ensemble, Le Train Bleu, for a dynamic performance of Bach and Vivaldi entitled “A Winter’s Journey.” Get your tickets now for one of these two special musical performances and enjoy a live musical experience alongside your visit to the Holiday Train Show®!
