LECYTHIS RORIDA GROWS IN THE PERIODICALLY INUNDATED IGAPÓ FORESTS OF THE RIO NEGRO, BRAZIL

The seeds of Lecythis rorida are retained within the fruit (top left) when it falls into the water. This is a common drift fruit found among other drift fruits and seeds on Amazonian beaches.
