Definitions of Key Terms
 

• Dissection- the degree to which a leaf has been divided.
• Unicellular- consisting of a single cell.
• Multi-cellular- consisting of many or multiple cells.
• Glandular- functioning as a gland; by removing materials from the blood, altering their chemical composition, and secreting them within or from the body.
• Linear- extremely straight, long and narrow with parallel sides.
• Lanceolate- lanced-shaped, tapering slowly to a point at the apex and sometimes at the base.
• Ovate- a flat plane with an outline similar to a longitudinal section of an egg, with the base being broader than the apex.
• Carcinogenic- a cancer producing agent.
