Agaricus sp.

We have this agaric from Quercus brenesii forests on Volcan Cacao in Guanacaste. The squamulose scaly pileus, flaring skirt-like annulus with velvety patches on the underside, and slightly bulbous base of the stipe are distinctive field characters. Odor and taste are mild and there is no reaction to bruising or with application of KOH.
