This Lepidella has been routinely found in the Cordillera Talamanca under Quercus oocarpa / Q. insignis and Q. seemanii. A subradicating stipe, unpleasant odor, and basidiomes covered with dry, gray to black volval remnants are characteristic. The species seems most phenetically similar to A. atkinsoniana, A. onusta, and A. cinereopannosa of North Temperate climes. |
