This Marasmius of section Sicci has a brownish orange, sulcate pileus, remote yellow lamellae, and stipe that is bright yellow when young, but becomes orange brown from the base upwards with age. It has a widespread distribution in the Neotropics, but in Costa Rica seems most common in the south.
