This taxon is characterized by the chestnut colored pileus and stipe, white hymenophore that becomes yellow when mature, yellow spore deposit, and clamp connections on the hyphae. The pileus surface contains abundant pileocystidia. So far, it has been found in Guanacaste under Quercus oleoides and in the Cordillera Talamanca (Q. seemanii and Q. copeyensis). |
