Hygrophrous sordidus Peck

The large, pallid basidiomata that develop some dull yellow tints with age are diagnostic among the hygrophori in Costa Rica. It also has a viscid pileus, dry stipe, and lacks a veil. This taxon has been found only in the vicinity of Jardin de Dota in the Cordillera Talamanca.
