This is a monotypic genus and apparently is endemic to the Neotropics. It has the appearance, texture and micromorphology of a Marasmius but lacks a lamellate hymenophore. It has been found in the northern Talamancas of Costa Rica, and was just recently collected in that cordillera in Panama's portion of La Amistad International Park.
