Phylloporus phaeoxanthus Singer & Gómez

Two varieties were originally described and separated on the presence or absence of resinous incrustations on the hymenial cystidia (Brenesia 22: 171-174. 1984). Key characters include the yellow mycelium around the stipe base, brown pileus and stipe, non-cyanescent flesh, and the palisadic arrangement of pileipellis elements.
