Ramaria zippelii (Lév.) Corner

This coral fungus has strict elongate branches and a slender stipe, mostly brown basidiomata with white tips and base. The taste is bitter and styptic. In certain areas of the Neotropics there is a form with branch apices colored blue. This fungus appears to have a amphi-Pacific distribution.
