Blumenbachia sections Blumenbachia and Gripidea have been revised, whereas the section Angulatae remains problematical. Many species were described from Argentina and Chile but it seems that ultimately most of them will have to be reduced under Blumenbachia dissecta and B. silvestris. The synonymy here given has to be considered as tentative.
