Distribution (Map). Endemic to the Venezuelan Guayana, where it is known only from three collections from the southern tip of Cerro Duida. It was collected along rocky banks of streams or in sand on rocks in the river, at elevations of 1050 to 1600 m. Flowering and fruiting stages were found on all plants which were collected in late Jan, early Feb, Sep, and "Aug"...to "Apr" (Tate 815). Rare.
