Opening May 24, surround yourself with the natural scenery that inspired Van Gogh’s masterpieces as you wander through monumental floral displays and large-scale art created by @graphic_rewilding, @amiej_art, and @town.and.concrete. Fleda Griffith—one of the Garden’s early visual documentarians, first made permanent staff photographer in 1932—spent a decade capturing the Garden with her lens, including our very first corpse flower in 1937. 📸

As we close out another inspiring #WomensHistoryMonth, learn more about this trailblazing woman in botanical photography, whose work graced the covers of our 20th-century Journal of The New York Botanical Garden year in and year out, garnering her attention from The New York Times. Not content to create art through a lens alone, she was also an accomplished botanical illustrator!
