Plants as Liberation

Plants as Liberation launched in 2021 as a series of interviews in celebration of the BIPOC community and their connection to plants. Arvolyn Hill, NYBG’s Associate Director of the Everett Children´s Adventure Garden, speaks with influential people in the plant world to highlight the incredible work they are doing with plants today, ranging from farmers and herbalists to house plant enthusiasts. Through these videos, we dive into the work of leaders in the plant world to explore the ways in which people are using plants today as a form of liberation and freedom, in all aspects of the botanical community.
