Bronx Community Garden Volunteer Day and BioBlitz

Join the NYC EcoFlora and Bissel Community Garden for a BioBlitz and garden volunteer day. Bissel Gardens is a 2.5 acre community garden and greenspace in the Wakefield section of the Bronx that brings people together, beautifies the neighborhood, creates safe outdoor space, offers community gardening, and grows food for donation. We will be documenting the plants and wildlife that live in this greenspace, followed by a chance to get your hands dirty in the soil to help prepare the garden for summer. If you care about the more-than-human, building community, and urban greenspaces, all are welcome to register!
