Visit the Garden on Bronx Day for a lively celebration of Juneteenth featuring music, dance performances, arts and crafts, food trucks, and so much more. Be sure to register for our symposium with author and historian Dr. Jessica B. Harris as we celebrate the opening of our African American Garden in its newest form, and don’t miss the fantastical displays to explore throughout the Garden during our latest exhibition, Wonderland: Curious Nature.

We are offering complimentary tickets for Bronx residents to visit on June 15. Distribution of tickets is on a first-requested, first-served basis.

Symposium | The Healing of Gardens: A Diasporic Conversation

Throughout the afternoon, enjoy live musical performances along with dance and drum presentations, then step outside to purchase a bite from one of our visiting food trucks. With local artisan vendors on site, arts and crafts, face painting, and more, there’s so much to take part in!

In our Everett Children’s Adventure Garden Pop-up, kids can pot up their very own thyme plant to take home, and craft fantastical creatures inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland as part of Wonderland: Curious Nature.

Juneteenth Weekend in the Edible Academy

At the Edible Academy, get hands-on with gardening, crafts, and exploration throughout the state-of-the-art campus. Enjoy cooking demonstrations featuring special guests and the plants from the African American Garden | Diaspora: Same Boat Different Stops.
