Bronx Food & Farm Tours: Environmental Justice in Mott Haven
& Port Morris

Saturday, May 18, 2024

11 a.m.–2 p.m. | Offsite

Meeting Location: La Finca Del Sur (110 E 138th St, Bronx, NY 10451)

How are community gardeners in Mott Haven and Port Morris building green space for relationship-building, healing, and education, while leading the fight against toxic industries? Join Bronx Green-Up, South Bronx Unite, and Montefiore Einstein to explore these questions on a 4-mile hybrid bus- and bike-tour of community gardens and industrial sites in the South Bronx. You’ll learn about the history of environmental justice movements in Mott Haven and Port Morris, and experience how people are sustainably revitalizing local spaces to grow food, health, and community today.

Can’t make it to the tour, but want to join the gathering? Enjoy speakers and lunch by B-Blossom Catering at María Sola Community Greenspace (128 Lincoln Ave, Bronx, NY 10454) from 1–2 p.m.
