
Bronx Food & Farm Tours: Environmental Justice in Mott Haven & Port Morris

How are community gardeners in the South Bronx building spaces for healing and education while leading the fight against toxic industries? Learn more about environmental justice organizing in Mott Haven and Port Morris as we visit community gardens and industrial sites on a 4-mile bus- and bike-tour.
Can’t make it to the tour, but want to join the community gathering afterwards? Listen to speakers and enjoy lunch by La Morada and B-Blossom Catering at Bruckner Mott-Haven Community Garden (684 E 136th St.) from 2 to 3 p.m.
- 10:45 a.m. – Check-in at María Sola Community Greenspace
- 11 a.m. – Tour Begins at María Sola Community Greenspace
- 12 p.m. – Waste Management
- 12:30 p.m. – 132nd Street Pier
- 1 p.m. – Brook Park Community Garden
- 1:30 p.m. – 138th Street Community Garden*
- 2 p.m. – Community Gathering and Meal at Bruckner Mott-Haven Community Garden
Please remember to bring your helmet (and an extra, if you have one)!
*Buses will depart from 138th Street Community Garden, and the group will walk together from 138th Street Garden to Bruckner Mott-Haven Community Garden (two city blocks). If you require assistance or vehicle transportation between these two tour stops, please contact bronxgreenup@nybg.org.
