Bring the family to Eggstravaganza for an afternoon of seasonal fun! With activities designed for kids under 12, kick things off with an egg rolling competition (our eggs are made from mycelium), and stay for face painting and crafts. Kids can even learn all about how birds build their nests, and what they use to do it.
Be sure and join the meet and greet with Peppa Pig and her little brother George, and snap a photo to preserve the memory! With live music to sing along to, and light bites and drinks for purchase, it’s the perfect weekend outing to take in spring’s flowering beauty.

Choose a whimsical design in the spirit of spring. Highlighted by Time Out New York Kids as one of the six best party entertainers in NYC, Face Art by Melissa and her team of amazing artists will transform visitors into tigers, butterflies, flowers…or wherever your imagination takes you.
Craft a bag of yarn, feathers, and other colorful items wrapped up in tulle. Once at home, hang it in a tree and watch birds collect the items to weave into their seasonal nests.
Start your own egg sculpture (made from mycelium) and watch it develop over the week! Learn all about mushrooms and mycelium—the root-like structure that makes up most of this fascinating fungus.
Decorate your own spoon to commemorate the egg roll competition! We’ll be transforming them into favorite springtime critters.
Did you know that birds build nests just to keep their eggs and baby birds safe and warm? Learn about these amazing creations and the natural and human-made materials used to build them. Then explore our collection of egg replicas to see the diversity in size, shape, color, and pattern.

Bilingual Birdies enchants families with young children while helping them learn Spanish through singing and dancing in an adventure that celebrates the coming of spring! Get ready to jump, clap, spin, and laugh in this super fun, half-hour bilingual performance. A dance party is waiting for you. ¡Vamos a bailar!
Bilingual Birdies has been successfully teaching languages in early ed spaces since 2006. The enrichment program delivers the best bilingual teaching musicians along with a high quality curriculum to schools and homes all over NYC and beyond. Children learn Spanish, French, Mandarin, or English through live music, movement, and puppetry. Original music albums and bilingual ebooks are provided for parents to further support the learning. In addition to the Bilingual Birdies school and home programs, The Bilingual Birdies Band performs in festivals across the city! In every class and concert the Bilingual Birdies mission is to celebrate diversity and help little ones understand their bilingual power!
