Come join us for a mid-fall gathering and dialogue celebrating local environmental justice efforts and collective artmaking. The William B. Washington Memorial Garden, in collaboration with NYBG Herbarium + Community Initiative and Regiven Environmental Project, presents Regiven Environmental Project Harvest Festival. This event will offer opportunities to learn about local composting projects and community care organizations, and be in dialogue about the intersection of art and protest. Participants will be led through a compost demonstration and guided garden tour by local master composters, along with a collaborative mural, sign-making event, and Regiven Compost Jewels ribbon-cutting ceremony. Participants will be connected to community resources through organizational tabling and engagement with local leadership. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

This event is funded in part by the Humanities of NY Action Grant through the Herbarium + Community Initiative, an interdisciplinary collaboration between community members and the NYBG Herbarium, Humanities Institute, and Bronx Green-Up, in partnership with Regiven Environmental Project.
