Terry Keller is the first director of the New York Botanical Garden’s Bronx Green-Up program, advocating and supporting community gardeners and gardens. In her tenure at NYBG, Terry navigated New York City agencies and developed strategies best to utilize the Garden’s knowledge and horticulture resources to support community efforts. From involvement with Green Guerillas to creating programming for Bronx Green-Up, Terry’s legacy of community gardening includes Garden of Happiness, Bronx Green-Up’s first collaborations and community gardens, being a catalyst for connection between NYBG and community outreach, and transforming vacant lots into community gardens across the Bronx, New York City, and beyond.
