Bronx Foodways Oral Histories: Morris Campus Farm with Deina

Posted in History & People , Videos on September 21, 2023, by Matt Newman

In the summer of 2022, Bronx Green-Up Apprentice Liana Castillo interviewed students at the Morris Campus Farm about their experiences on this unique urban educational farm on their high school campus in Morrisania, Bronx. The interviews are part of our ongoing Bronx Foodways Oral History Project, an NYBG Humanities Institute undertaking that exists to preserve the food histories and life experiences of community gardeners and urban farmers across the borough.

This week on Plant Talk, get to know Deina—one of the Morris Campus students who are putting their green thumbs to use in support of their neighborhood.
