Celebrating the Winter Solstice with “For Love and Only for Love”
As we celebrate today’s winter solstice and the world premiere of an all-new choral installation among the snowy leaves and branches of the Native Plant Garden, hear from composer Pete Wyer on the inspiration behind this immersive work.
Created to inspire reflection on love, gratitude, acceptance, and our connection with nature during the pandemic, “For Love and Only for Love: Letters to New York” allows you to explore the winter highlights of this garden while surrounded by the musical accompaniment of up to 72 recorded voices, presented as part of Make Music New York’s winter solstice festival. Get outside to experience it for yourself through January 10.
