As the Garden reopens this summer, we also celebrate the launch of our NYBG content guide on the new Bloomberg Connects app. This interactive guide enables visitors to enhance their NYBG experience and engage with our much-loved botanical collections and educational content, both on-site and at home. Our guide, which will be updated regularly to reflect the season’s featured collections, includes audio tours, detailed plant images, and more, with something for everyone to enjoy. Download the Bloomberg Connects app for free to experience the Garden anywhere, anytime.

NYBG’s participation in the Bloomberg Connects app is just the latest development in its long-standing partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Bloomberg Connects program. As part of the program since 2013, NYBG has experimented with augmented reality to bring out-of-season foliage into view, created fun selfie features to complement art exhibitions, and featured exclusive videos with NYBG curators and experts for added context to our special and seasonal exhibitions. Through these mobile media initiatives, we have been able to bring the Garden to life and encourage active participation in the NYBG experience for visitors both on- and off-site.

With its focus on making cultural resources more accessible to all, Bloomberg Philanthropies has played an instrumental role in helping the Garden reach the highest standards of digital engagement. We hope you will check out our newest project and download the NYBG content guide on the Bloomberg Connects app. Visit nybg.org/mobile for more information.
