Posted in Environment & Conservation , Plant Science , Videos on May 22, 2020, by Matt Newman

On #InternationalBiodiversityDay, our scientists are working to protect the plants of the world in the South Pacific. From forest preservation to documenting the local plants and their traditional uses, NYBG scientists have collaborated with the people of Vanuatu since 2015 on projects dedicated to conserving the rich natural environment of these islands. Learn more about this ongoing work from Greg Plunkett, NYBG’s Director & Curator for the Cullman Program for Molecular Systematics, who is in Vanuatu right now.
