Posted in History & People , Videos on September 26, 2022, by Matt Newman

“This project started as a dream, well over a decade ago … I’ve been writing for about that long about what I’ve called the Black environmental imagination, which takes many forms.”

With The Bond of Live Things Everywhere now open through November 6, we spoke with its Curator, the Bronx’s own Joshua Bennett, about his installation of Black poetry and performance in the open air. Learn where this poet and scholar found his inspiration, what he hopes people take away from it, and how he sees it as a source of joy, surprise, and delight.
